Your forecasts and free trial

Create an IHT Forecast account with your name, email and password. Your name and email are stored with a salted password hash; your plaintext password is not stored. Saved forecasts and trial dates are linked to your account identifier. Signing in uses a secure, HttpOnly session cookie lasting up to seven days. Existing ChatGPT sign-in accounts remain available. If you are already signed into one, use Add email/password sign-in to keep its forecasts with your new login. Creating an account while signed out creates a separate account.

When you press Save, the forecast name, asset and debt values, growth assumptions, gifts, relief settings and timestamps are stored in this website’s hosted database. These records are accessible through the app only to your signed-in account. The site operator and hosting providers may process stored data to operate the service.

Use client references rather than names. Do not enter addresses, National Insurance numbers, account numbers or other identifying details. Forecasts remain saved until you delete them. You can reopen, export or delete your saved inputs after your trial expires.

The free trial lasts 14 days from when you explicitly start it. It unlocks calculations, comparisons and printable illustrations, requires no payment card and does not auto-renew. Trial timestamps are retained to prevent repeat trials. Account security records include hashed session tokens, session expiry dates and temporary hashed rate-limit identifiers. Paid planning packs are not currently on sale.

Browser-only saves from the earlier calculator remain on the device where they were made. Use Restore device draft in the calculator, then save to your account to move a draft into your workspace. When you initiate sign-in, the current draft is temporarily kept in this tab’s session storage and removed after restoration.

Save the recovery code shown at signup in a password manager. It can reset a forgotten password and is replaced after use or a password change. Email verification and emailed password-reset links are not currently available. Change your name or password in Account settings. Password changes invalidate other email/password sessions.

This is an early planning tool. Figures are illustrative and must be checked before relying on them for advice.
